Insert the verbs in their correct form (either present perfect or past simple forms) into the following sentences.

For example, for the verb "run":
‘Because it was cold, I ……….. home quickly.’
Answer: ‘Because it was cold, I ran home quickly.’
This uses the verb in its past simple form.

Verb: “Write”
‘I ________________ the first chapter of my new book today.’


Verb: “Climb”
‘Martha ________________ to the top of the mountain yesterday.’

Verb: “Do”
‘Ben________________ it again.’
